Book bingo 2027: two free printable cards

How to play
- One book for each square. Read a book that fits the prompt and write its title in the square. The centre is free: any book you like.
- Five in a row is a bingo: across, down or corner to corner. A card has 12 lines. Fill all 25 squares and it is a blackout.
- Can one book fill two squares? Decide before you start. One book per square makes it a real challenge; letting a book count twice makes it a gentler one. Either is fine, as long as you keep to it.
- The card runs from 1 January to 31 December 2027. A book started in December 2026 counts if you finish it in January.
Make it yours
If a square only fits books you dread, write a prompt of your own over it. For more trope squares, pick from our list of 76 book tropes. Playing with friends? Everyone prints the same card, and the first to complete a line chooses the next book club read.
Sharing the card
Print as many copies as you like, for yourself, your book club, your class or your library. You are welcome to share the image on social media or put it on your blog. All we ask is a link back to this page, so others can find the printable too.
Playing it in Storyfeel
- Games → Book Bingo has a card for every year. Tap a square, write its Category and link the book that fills it. The square completes itself when that book is Completed, so the card fills in as you read.
- The lines light up. Finish a row, a column or a diagonal and the card says Bingo!; fill all 25 squares for Blackout!
- To play card 1, type its prompts into the squares, or tap Random fill for a card dealt from the same list.
- Every square keeps its book, so in December the card shows not only what you read but which book filled which square. Note in your reading journal how each one felt and you will remember the whole year.
